Privacy Policy

How we collect, store, and use data on the miniHoarding platform.

Last updated: November 22, 2025

Our Commitment

miniHoarding respects the privacy of customers, vendors, and advertisers. This Privacy Policy explains how data is collected and used on our platform.

1. About miniHoarding

miniHoarding is a platform where local customers rate their nearby shops, stalls, and retail outlets using a QR code placed at the vendor's location. Customers can give a rating out of 5 stars.

Vendors do not have access to their accounts on miniHoarding. Their profiles are created manually by our team and displayed publicly so that customers and brands can view ratings.

The majority of the bottom area of each QR stand is reserved for brand advertisements as part of our hyperlocal marketing service.

2. Information We Collect

Customer Ratings: When a customer scans the QR code, we collect:

  • Star rating (1 to 5)
  • Approximate timestamp
  • IP address (to block the same user from reuploading multiple ratings for the same vendor)

No personal identifying information such as phone number, name, email, or location tracking is collected.

3. Vendor Information

Vendors (shops, stalls, or retail outlets) do not create accounts on miniHoarding. Their profiles are created by miniHoarding staff only to showcase:

  • Vendor name
  • Store type
  • Store location (publicly known area)
  • Ratings received from customers

Vendors can view their profiles publicly like everyone else by scanning their QR code. If you are a vendor and wish to update your profile information, please contact us at vivek@minihoarding.com.

4. How We Use Collected Data

We use customer-submitted data for:

  • Displaying ratings of local vendors
  • Improving accuracy of vendor quality scores
  • Anonymous statistical insights
  • Brand advertisement analytics

We never sell personal data because we do not collect any personally identifiable information.

5. Brand Advertisement Area

Each QR stand reserves 75% of the bottom area for advertising a brand. This advertising space does not access or interact with customer data. Advertisers only receive general statistics such as:

  • Total scans on the QR code
  • Total ratings submitted
  • Aggregate performance of campaigns

6. Data Storage & Security

All rating data is stored securely on our servers. No sensitive personal data is stored. Access is restricted to authorized staff only.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not share or sell any user-identifiable data because none is collected. Vendor ratings may appear publicly on the miniHoarding platform.

8. Children’s Privacy

miniHoarding is safe for all ages since no personal information is requested or collected.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The updated version will always be available on this page.
